She has gained valuable experience training and working in various physical therapy settings, including skilled nursing facility, hospital, and outpatient orthopedic clinics, including a performing arts physical therapy clinic in NYC.

Shaina has been focused on the body and movement for most of her life in various activities, especially in dance since the age of five, and was a professional freelance modern dancer/performer in NY. She is also very interested in the powerful interconnections of mind and body, and she believes it is very important to treat persons as whole-beings within the rehabilitation setting. She is passionate about treating patients with a range of conditions and working as a team with patients—no matter what activity level, background, age, history—to reduce pain and symptoms, to get them to the level of function, activity level, and performance they hope for, and to empower them to care for their own bodies and prevent further injury.

Shaina moved from East coast to West coast (NYC to LA) in late 2018 and has been enjoying new adventures here! Shaina considers herself a student for life, as there is always more to learn and always more research published. Shaina enjoys spending time in the outdoors/ nature, hiking, dancing/performing/creating, traveling, cycling, spending time with her husband, cat, family, and friends, and making invaluable human connections.
